The Friends of EUS(W)O scheme is an opportunity for our supporters to donate to the orchestra, to provide students with high-quality musical training and experience, as well as the opportunity to meet like-minded students during their time at university.
Our orchestras also do a lot of community work, and we were awarded the Students’ Guild’s ‘Community Award’ in March 2023. Our work includes visiting schools, care homes and hospitals to bring music to those who may not always have the opportunity to engage with classical music, as well as using our performances to raise money for important charities.
Running EUSO and EUSWO certainly isn’t cheap, and we want to keep our membership costs as low as possible to make our orchestras accessible to as many people as possible, and not just provide opportunities to those who can afford it.
Therefore, we would be really grateful if you could help us by making a donation to our Friends of EUS(W)O scheme. Your donation will go towards purchasing or hiring sheet music for our orchestras, hiring venues for our concerts, and towards transport, accommodation, conductor fees and venue hire for our tour to Germany in April 2024!
Please consider making a regular donation, either annually or monthly. Your regular support could pay for:
• Sheet music hire for a whole year – 15 donors contributing £3/month or £40/year
• An orchestra concert – 20 donors contributing £4/month or £50/year
• An international concert tour – 120 donors contributing £8/month or £100/year
All our Friends will be mentioned by name in future printings of our concert programmes this year in recognition of their support, and will receive access to additional photos of the orchestra which are usually only available to orchestra members. You will also be welcome to submit a seat reservation request for any of our concerts that you attend this year by emailing: symphonyorchestra@groups.exeterguild.com.
We thank you in advance for your help and we look forward to seeing you at our concerts this year! If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch with us by emailing us.
