I was a Law Underrgraduate 1962-5 under Professor Parker & his Tream. I was from lower middle class and the first in the whole family to attend university,. I was funded by Derbyshire County Council, without which I could not have afforded to study at university. I enjoyed an enjoyable and successful career as a saolicitor in local government thereafter, becoming a chief legal and administrative office with Coventry City Council. I owe all that to the grounding I got studying for my law degree. I will be 80 very snortly and was Sports Editor for two years on the student newpaper "The South Westerner"
