Creating life-changing opportunities for Cornish students

the Cornwall opportunities fund

Over its first ten years in the county, the University's activities in Cornwall have generated thousands of new jobs and helped inject £491m into the local economy.

We are proud of all that we have achieved here and our Campaign builds on the University's commitment to Cornwall. We are determined to identify, attract and support the best and brightest students from Cornwall and give them the opportunity to study at a world class University. We cannot do this alone.

Will you help us?

By making a donation, you'll be contributing to the Cornwall Opportunities Fund, supporting our outreach work within the county, working with some of Cornwall's most promising young people and helping to unlock their potential. There are currently 180 Cornish students on our Exeter Progression Programme, receiving two years of support prior to them applying to university, and receiving a preferential offer if they apply to the University of Exeter.

The Cornwall Opportunities Fund will also support employability, helping students to make the best start in their working lives by providing travel and maintenance bursaries for those with the opportunity to undertake work placements, both at home and abroad, as well as providing Degree Apprenticeships, which will give local young people a debt free opportunity to train and develop their careers through Higher Education.

please make a donation to help provide life-changing opportunities to students in cornwall.

recognition of your support

To recognise your generosity we would like to offer the first 50 donors the opportunity for their name to appear on our brand new supporter wall, which will be displayed in the heart of the Penryn campus. Once we reach this target, this naming opportunity will only be offered to those who make a minimum gift of £240, or a regular gift of £5 per month.
