Alumni Boat Club Donations

Join the Exeter Alumni Boat Club

Run by alumni, for alumni, the Exeter Alumni Boat Club offers you the chance to stay connected to rowing at Exeter - and to support today’s students where it matters most. It even gives you the opportunity to pick up a green and white blade once again!

Alumni support for rowing at Exeter has always been generous. Now, the Alumni Boat Club aims to provide a powerful combination of sound advice, mentorship, and a dependable source of funding to future-proof Exeter rowing for decades to come.

By setting up a monthly donation, you can help build a sustainable foundation for the club - one that enables our students to build and thrive as a performance and participation sport.

Where your donations go

All funds raised go directly towards developing the University of Exeter Boat Club, focusing on priorities identified in the club’s long-term development plan - with coaching and equipment at the top of the list.

The Alumni Boat Club encourages members to set up a monthly subscription, with a recommended contribution of £10 per month. As the network grows, these subscriptions will form a reliable income stream, with a long-term goal of covering the cost of a coaching position to ensure consistent, high-quality training for our student rowers.

This initiative complements the student committee’s efforts to expand the club’s accessibility, strengthen its financial sustainability, and invest in essential equipment.

2025-2026 Fundraising Goal

For the 2025–2026 season, the student committee aims to purchase a new Women’s First VIII shell, supporting the women’s squad in their bid to become the first Exeter Women’s crew to qualify for the Island Challenge Cup - the Student Women’s Event at Henley Royal Regatta.

The committee has adopted a sustainable purchasing model, aiming to raise £8,000 to contribute toward the cost of the new shell, with the remainder funded through the club’s resources.

Every donation made this year will go directly towards this goal - helping our student athletes make Exeter rowing history.

Where will the donations go?

All money raised will go towards supporting the development of EUBC, focusing on priorities determined by the club's development plan. We look forward to updating you soon on how donations and support from the Alumni Boat Club have impacted the club!
