Both our Men's and Womens teams have qualified to compete at the World University Championships

What is the Project?

We are raising money to fund both of our incredible teams of men and women to compete at the World Powerlifting Championships in Estonia this year. Last year we took only a Men's team and came home with many medals, and an overall 4th Place. As a team, we are hoping to do even better this year, with a strong team, we look forward to showing exactly what Exeter University has to offer on the world stage.

Who are We?

Exeter University Powerlifting Society is a rapidly growing, incredible community of men and women, students and alumni, who train, socialise and compete together at multiple powerlifting competitions throughout the year. Whilst only a fairly new society, we have grown massively since our inception. With over 80 current members, we offer an amazing experience and community for those who want to get stronger, feel better or just like to lift heavy things.

Where will the money go?

Your donations will help fund our team to fly out, stay, and compete at the competition which takes place over an entire week in July.  Any amount, no matter how big or how small, adds up! For example:

  • £40 would pay for one night of accommodation for one member of the team
  • £95 would pay for the entry and anti-doping fee of one of the team
  • £150 would pay for a return flight from London to Estonia for one team member
