The Vision of the ECU
Our aim as the ECU (Evangelical Christian Union) is to make the life changing news of Jesus known on our campus in Exeter. We believe that Jesus came to earth to die and be raised back to life to give us a way to have a relationship with God. We believe that He is now alive in heaven, and we want to share this news with our friends.
To achieve our aim of Knowing Jesus and making Him known we run a variety of different ministries and events - some regularly and some just a few times a year. These are mostly all funded by donations. We want to give every student the opportunity to hear the Gospel, seeking to promote Christ, not ourselves.
Where will the money go?
Nearly all our income for our ministries and events is from your donations.
Money will go towards a large list of things, including helping fund our carol service outreach event, Events Week (which is the biggest outreach week in the ECU calendar), our weekly international ministry Globe Café, and our weekly outreach ministries - The Big Question (TBQ), Acts 17, and Club Outreach.
There are many more things we may spend money on, but we ensure none of our funds are spent on socials for members. We will only spend money on activities and events which are evangelistic.
