Remember your time as a member of EUBC? Help current and future students of the club to succeed!

The campaign for the University of Exeter Boat Club has been kick started by a generous £1,000 pledge from one of our Exeter alumni. £500 has been donated already, the remaining £500 will only be donated if another 10 supporters donate to the target and we reach £3,000 in donations. We are extremely grateful and encouraged by this founding donation and ask for the support of others who may be able to help reach this £3,000 and the £5,000 target overall.

No matter the size, all amounts add up to help us achieve our goals! Whether you can afford £5, £20, £50, £200 - all donations will help EUBC now and in the future to be one of the best in the country.

The EUBC is one of the University's most established sports clubs and is able to cater for people that want to try rowing at all levels - from complete beginners, to those looking to trial for the GB squad and compete internationally. As one of the University's 200-strong membership base, this is also one of the greatest clubs to meet new faces and enjoy the social aspect of the sport, making friends for life.

The club operates out of the Nicholas Bull Boat House which was built in 2012 as a result of a very generous donation and is situated on the scenic Exeter canal only 15 minutes from campus. We also have our very own on-campus gym facilities which enable us to successfully compete in all British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions against other universities, as well as all the major winter head races.

The club consistently performs well at the highest levels of British Rowing, posting good results in competitions such as Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Women's Regatta and both Women's and Men's Head. Last year's Head of the River crew placed 32nd; the best result for an Exeter crew in four decades and two of our women's crews reached the A final of the Intermediate Eights event at the BUCS regatta.

We are very proud of our successes, but are always striving to grow and develop further as a Club.

why are we raising money?

We wish to continue the Club's high-performance legacy, but to do this we need to invest in some new equipment and would also like to be able to provide additional professional coaching for the squad. We are lucky to be supported by a wonderful alumni network and hope that people will take this opportunity to support us and spur us on to future success.

£100 could buy a new Coxes Headset

£500 could buy a new Cox Box

£1000 could provide four Sculling Blades

£1700 could buy eight Sweep Blades

£2600 could provide a new Lightweight Double

£5000 could provide additional professional coaching for the squad

Any donations, no matter the size, would be gratefully accepted - thank you!

Help us succeed!

We'd love it if you could donate to our crowdfunding project, but please also help us by spreading the word amongst your networks - it's all about getting lots of people to come together and any help can really make a difference.

We're also always looking for non-financial support, so if you or your networks could provide additional coaching or help us to source racing shells for competitions, please contact sportsalumni@exeter.ac.uk
