Help Falmouth and Exeter Sailing Society Set Sail for BUCS Fleet Racing Championships!
We're raising £1000 to compete in the BUCS Fleet Racing Championships this season, where 150 boats from multiple universities will race for the title. Your support will enable us to cover essential entry fees, travel expenses, and equipment upgrades, helping our team make history in our first-ever BUCS competition!
Who are we?
We are the Falmouth and Exeter Sailing Team (based in Cornwall), a dedicated group of students passionate about sailing and committed to representing our university on a national stage. Our team consists of 10 members, ranging from Olympic and international sailors to enthusiastic newcomers eager to learn what racing is all about and compete.
Our story
This year, we are excited to announce our debut at the BUCS Fleet Racing Championships in Torbay!
The Fleet Racing Championships is not just a competition; it’s a chance to connect with other universities, gain invaluable racing experience, and build lifelong friendships. With your help, we can overcome the financial barriers to participation, allowing us to focus on what we love—sailing!

Where will the money go?
If we hit our target, here’s how we plan to allocate the funds:
Entry Fees: £30 per person and £100 per boat for a total of £760.
Travel Expenses: Costs for transporting our team and boats to Torbay. (£200)
Safety and Training Equipment: Essential gear to ensure our team is fully prepared.
If we exceed our target, any additional funds will go towards maintaining our fleet and supporting future competitions, ensuring we can continue to represent our university with pride.
