The Chapel Choir have launched a campaign to raise £8,000 towards the purchase of around 30 tablets (iPads or similar) that would allow the choir to move towards a fully digital music library.
The aim is to equip the choir with tablets that can be used in rehearsals, services, concerts, recordings, and broadcasts. As a student ensemble with a very active programme of activity, this would have a number of significant benefits:
• Educational benefit – students gain experience using digital score systems now widely used in professional music-making.
• Sustainability – a significant reduction in printing and paper use across the choir’s repertoire.
• Accessibility – digital scores can be enlarged and adapted for singers with different visual needs.
• Efficiency – the choir can maintain a central digital library of repertoire that is instantly accessible.
• Longevity – this would be a one-off investment that will benefit many future generations of Exeter students.

The Chapel Choir continues to represent the University through concerts, recordings, broadcasts, and partnerships with organisations across the region, and this project supports both the choir’s training mission and its wider public-facing work.
